Training takes two full days, usually two Saturdays or two Sundays in weeks 6 and 7 of full term. It is a dynamic session with lots of role playing and time to ask questions and explore ideas. Trainees usually have a great time and make close friends with others in their training group. You will be trained by other Peer Supporters who can give you an idea of how the scheme works in practice.
Reflective Practice is usually in weeks 4 and 6 of term. This is an opportunity to go over any issues you have been having, ask the committee questions, and receive extra training on specific topics like dealing with homesickness or handling a referral. You can sign up here.
