Applications for training in Lent 2012 are now closed. We’ll be recruiting again in Michaelmas 2012, so keep an eye out for emails on your college bulletin over the summer and the start of Michaelmas

Welcome to Peer2Peer!

Peer2Peer is a new, student-run programme offering confidential, informal support to undergraduates, graduates and post-docs throughout their time in Cambridge. The programme builds on the success of the Peer Support scheme and has been developed in recognition of the essential role which students play in supporting and encouraging one another on a day-to-day basis. Put simply, Peer2Peer helps students to better support their peers. Through thorough training, student Peer2Peer Supporters develop skills which enable them to be more confident when supporting friends and college members and more aware of the professional support networks available to them in Cambridge.

Who are the Peer Supporters?

All participating colleges have a team of Peer2Peer Supporters who have been fully trained and who receive ongoing, regular supervision to ensure the continual development of their skills.  Peer2Peer Supporters are available to talk with your informally about anything concerning you; no problem is too big or too small! Peer2Peer adheres to a strict system of values and all Supporters are confidential, non-judgmental, and responsive. Peer2Peer promotes active listening: the aim is not to provide you with an answer but to encourage you to open up and talk through the issues or worries you might be having in complete confidentiality. Go to/ click on/ your college’s page for a list of fully-trained Peer2Peer Supporters and their contact details.

If you think that you might have the skills required to become a Peer2Peer Supporter, and are in one of the participating colleges, we would love to hear from you. Your application will be assessed by our recruitment team and if successful you will be invited to attend the next available course of training.
